Finally finished reading
issue#3 of Industrie after it hit the stands a couple of weeks ago and it's
fair to say it did not disappoint- My favourite
interview had to be with Isaac Lock, the straight talking, no bullshitting
editor of Love magazine gives an objective view of the industry and his take on
what an interesting interview really consists of. From a
youth spent in and out of prison to his recent promotion at Love, the 27 year
old lad from Norfolk has certainly come a long way- you could
blame it on luck or his impetuous nature but I'm gonna blame it simply on
honesty. The fearless honesty that underlies all of his interviews is
what makes him unique- it’s not the fashion content that is his main focus, but
the exposure he gives to his interviewees- ‘telling their story’…
There’s something so
refreshing about what he is doing right now and his views on the industry, he
doesn’t get preoccupied with fashion politics and simply shrugs off any
criticism. All in all the guy has
remained pretty grounded and seems unfazed when questioned on his brash
persona. I guess it comes down to
his ability to look at things from a different angle, digging that little bit
deeper for stories that haven’t come to light in years that makes him oh so
special. I mean, it takes balls to
admit that ‘if someone tells me a story I suspect is not true I’ll happily
write it if it’s more interesting than the truth’.
..and besides all that he's got the RayBan clubmasters that i want.
